A: On-screen messages with ColorSure™ technology notify you of repeated highs and lows. A low pattern message appears in Blue when your meter records 2 results below the Low limit set in your meter. A high pattern message shows in Red when your meter records 3 results that are over the High limit set in your meter (a high pattern will only include results tagged “Before Meal”). Refer to the OneTouch Verio® IQ Owner’s Booklet for additional information.
A: The meter, lancing device, and cap should be disinfected periodically (at least once a week). Clean your meter, lancing device, or cap prior to disinfecting. Be sure to wipe your system completely dry as some cleaning product residue may interfere with the disinfection process. Clorox® Germicidal Wipes* containing 0.55% sodium hypochlorite as the active ingredient have been shown to be safe for use with the OneTouch Verio® IQ system. Obtain them from retail websites offering disinfection products. For more information on purchase options, click here.
Be sure to squeeze out any excess liquid before you wipe the meter. Hold the meter with the test strip port pointed down. Use a Clorox® Germicidal Wipe to wipe the outside of the meter, lancing device, and cap until the surface is damp. Allow the surface of the meter, lancing device, and cap to remain damp for 1 minute. Wipe dry with a clean, sterile gauze pad and allow to air dry. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling the meter, lancing device and cap.

A: The OneTouch Verio® IQ meter does not require manual coding.
A: The OneTouch Verio® IQ meter stores the most recent 750 blood glucose and control solution test results and displays the blood glucose results in several ways. It also stores the last 50 pattern alert messages.
A: Insert a OneTouch Verio® test strip with the gold side of the test strip and the two silver prongs facing you –or– Press and hold the OK button to turn on the meter. You can also do this before you insert the test strip to turn on the display backlight and test strip port light. This additional light may help you insert the test strip and complete the test.

A: If you lose or misplace your cable or charger, you can obtain a new one at shoponetouch.com. If your cable or charger is damaged or stops working through normal use, please contact customer service to report the issue.
A: If the battery power is too low to take a blood glucose test, you can connect the meter (USB or AC adapter) for a rapid charge. Rapid Battery Charging will appear on the display for approximately 60 seconds to indicate the meter is in rapid charge mode.
After the rapid charge, be sure to disconnect the meter from the wall outlet or computer before testing your blood glucose. After testing, reconnect your meter and complete the charge.
A: The OneTouch Verio® IQ meter uses a rechargeable battery. When fully charged, the meter will perform blood glucose or control solution tests for about 1 to 2 weeks before recharging is needed.
The OneTouch Verio® IQ meter may be charged either via the mini USB cable plugged into a USB port on a computer while the computer is on, or by the mini USB cable and AC adaptor plugged into an electrical outlet. Both the mini USB cable and AC adaptor are included with the OneTouch Verio® IQ meter.

A: Yes, the meter automatically detects and marks the result as a control solution test. Use only OneTouch Verio® control solution, Level 3 (Mid) or Level 4 (High) with your OneTouch Verio® IQ meter. Either level can be used to check your system.
A: Each level of control solution has a different range to help check if your blood glucose meter and test strips are working together properly. Each vial of test strips has both OneTouch Verio® Level 3 (Mid) and OneTouch Verio® Level 4 (High) control solution ranges printed on its label. Compare the result displayed on the meter to either the OneTouch Verio® Level 3 (Mid) or OneTouch Verio® Level 4 (High) control solution range printed on the test strip vial, depending on the type of control solution you used.
